任鸿隽是以"科教兴国"为立国之策的先驱,终其一生致力于科学推展。他追问"科学之为物",热情地介绍科学起源、科学精神和科学方法;倡言"科学是立国的根本",推进科学体制化;撒播"科学种子",实施科学教育,极大地促进了科学和科学文化在中国的传播。
Abstract：REN Hong-jun,the pioneer in advocating the strategy of national rejuvenation through science and education, was committed to the development of science all his life. He quested for what is science, advocated the spirit of science, spoke up for "Science is the essence of consolidating China", promoted the systematization of science, sowed the seeds of science vigorously, and carried out the education of science, all of which greatly speeded up the spread of science and scientific culture in China.
